Rain washes out ASCS Gulf South at Shady Oaks

Gollad, TX — (May 25, 2013) — Persistent rains have forced the cancellation of the Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region’s first scheduled visit to the Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad, Texas.

The Gulf South arm of the ASCS Nation will head for the South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi, Texas on Sunday, May 26. Any updates throughout the Memorial Day Weekend will be posted to http://www.ascsracing.com.

The 2013 season marks the twenty-second year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series, ASCS also consists of nine different Regions throughout the nation.
