Russ Gamester of Peru, Ind. found a $2,500 cash bonus in his winnings from the May 24 “Hoosier Hundred” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind. It came from Ignite Fuels, who powered his pole-winning car at the mile dirt oval!
Part of the Ignite participation in this year’s TRAXXAS USAC Silver Crown Series includes bonuses for competitors who utilize Ignite Fuels. The highest finishing car using Ignite receives a $2,500 bonus and a victory is worth a $5,000 bonus!
Gamester nearly garnered the bigger bonus last week, leading 58 laps of the race in his First Financial Bank/Green Gable Village GRP/Toyota. He slipped behind Jerry Coons Jr. on lap 59 and eventually fell victim to brake problems after 88 laps, finishing 11th.
“I have no problems with it,” says Gamester. “Once we sorted it out it’s been great. We were sure fast. It has great throttle response. I’m very pleased.”
In addition, Brian Tyler was running third and challenging for the lead in his Six-R Racing entry when he was squeezed into another competitor and slid into the backstretch wall on lap 79, ending his bid for victory.
“We are really happy with Ignite,” says Tyler’s car owner Daryl Guiducci. “It’s a competitive fuel and we are pleased with its performance. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding about it and we plan to use it the rest of the season.”
