Sydney, AU — (January 2, 2013) — Experienced sprint car traveler Robbie Farr returned ‘home’ to Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway tonight and walked away with $10.000 for his East Coast Pipeline team after beating 20 times World champ Steve Kinser and multi time Australian champion Max Dumesny.

Kinser was the second fastest qualifier behind fellow countryman Justin Henderson for the Rumble and charged through the field behind Farr who was brilliant on the slick track in the ECP #7 machine.

Kraig Kinser was in the thick of things early but had nothing for Farr who was on rails.

Ohio traveller Dale Blaney threatened at one stage and everyone had a chance to lead, but Farr was just too good.

“Winning here is just terrific, I can’t explain how good this feels,” said a jubilant Farr

“This is where my career started and I would love to do more meetings here,” Robbie, a Perth resident these days, added.

Steve Kinser was full of praise for Farr.

“We had nothing for him tonight and he deserved to win,” said Kinser

Farr was one lucky driver for six laps from the finish he tangled with the lapped car of WA driver Carl Dowling and all but flipped.

Ben Atkinson, the Darwin driver with a dash of class, was the only real casualty of the race as he caught the back straight lip while in third and flipped.

The International sprintcar stars return to Valvoline Raceway this Friday and Saturday nights for the long awaited World Derby classic.
