Syracuse, NY  – For the third consecutive season, we like to bring you the celebrated Le Groupe Ultra Tour of Canada!  All the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) events held north of the border and at Mohawk Int’l will carry a separate point fund with a champion crowned.Empire Super Sprints ESS Logo

The Canadian point fund has been in place for many years now and for the third season in a row, the successful construction company owned by the Parent family in Granby, Quebec has been the title sponsor.  Patrick Vigneault and his Fondations 55 is also an associate sponsor and adds to the point fund as well.

Quebec’s Steve Poirier won the Tour of Canada title last year keeping the bulk of money in his homeland.  Competition for 2014 will be stout from both sides in looking to dethrone the now four-time overall ESS champion.

The Tour of Canada also enables many competitors from Canada to run for the title where they are unable to do the entire ESS tour.  While Poirier, Vigneault and Etienne Girard will do most if not all the 2014 Lucas Oil Tour, many others will be shooting for the Tour of Canada glory.

Drivers such as Chris Jones, Lee Ladouceur, Dale Gosselin, Tyler Rand, Devin Caron, Yan Bilodeau, Kayle Robidoux, Alain Boisvert and many more will attend many of the Tour of Canada events.

Michael Parent himself is still recovering from his accident in August of last year.  His progress is right on schedule and has hopes to be back behind the wheel of his #25 by the end of the season.

Le Groupe Ultra was formed in 1994 and provides all aspects of construction with no job too big or two small.  Providing service throughout Quebec, Le Groupe Ultra will give you all services from quote to finish.  Please log on to  http://www.constructionultra.com/

Tracks that will provide points for the 2014 version of the Tour of Canada will be Autodrome’s Granby and Drummond, Le RPM, Mohawk Int’l, Merrittville and Ohsweken Speedways. A total of nine events will make up the series.

The first Tour of Canada event will be at Mohawk on Apr. 26, a $2,000 to win event as a part of the first ever Atomic Spring Clash Weekend.  A rain date of Apr. 27 is also in place.
