Brandon Berryman Battles to ASCS Gulf South Victory

Highlands, TX — (July 5, 2014) — The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region took to the high-banked Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas on Saturday night with Brandon Berryman leading non-stop for his eleventh career Gulf South score.

The thirteenth winner of the season, Berryman jumped to the lead on the start over Tommy Bryant. Challenged on late race restarts by Tommy Bryant then Blake Hahn, Berryman would not be denied the night’s $2,500 payday.

Blake Hahn rolled across second with Tommy Bryant rolling across the line on fumes to claim third. Channin Tankersley grabbed fourth with eighth starting Ray Allen Kulhanek completing the top five.

Wes Miler was sixth with eleventh starting Travis Elliot seventh. Klint Angelette crossed eighth with Caleb Martin charging from twenty-first to ninth. Wyatt Rector completed the top ten.
