URSS United Rebel Sprint Series Top Story

From URSS

From one extreme to the other awaits the United Rebel Sprint Series this weekend as they start their weekend out on Friday night at the ¼ mile “Bullring” aka, Rush CO Speedway in Lacrosse Ks for the 5th Annual Bullring Nationals. Then the Rebels load up and head to the blazing fast ½ mile Belleville High Banks in Belleville KS for the 3rd Annual URSS 305 Nationals. Each race is a URSS National points Show along with Kansas and Colorado regional points and a big payday as it pays $1000 to win in Lacrosse and $2000 to win at Belleville.

Last years Bullring Nationals champion, Jared Kern, just came off a big win last Friday night in Dodge City and will look to repeat on last years big win. The win for Kern last year was his first in URSS competition. He will be met with a herd of strong competitors as 14 different drivers have won features this year in the 19 races run. Current points leader Jake Bubak is the only driver to repeat this year and just won his fifth feature last weekend in Hugoton.

The always well prepped ¼ mile Bullring has in the past been one of the most exciting races of the year with many last lap passes for the win and non stop action throughout the field. Racing starts at 7pm.

From the Bullring the Rebels head Saturday to the worlds fastest ½ mile at the Belleville High Banks in Belleville KS and are the support class for the 37th Annual Belleville Midget Nationals.

Last years winner Brian Herbert will have to fend off a strong field if he wants to repeat his last years performance as many of the top drivers are expected to make the haul. Last year Herbert broke Luke Cranstons streak of 5 wins in a row at the big ½ mile and is still considered the man to beat although many others including Jake Bubak, Zach Blurton, Steven Richardson, Zac Taylor, Ty Williams, Keefe Hemel, Jeremy Huish, Ned Werner and a host of other drivers will be vying for the $2000 winners share and the coveted Belleville Nationals Championship.

The URSS is well known at Belleville as they are always a fan favorite with lots of close side by side high speed action and it all starts at 7pm.
