Tulsa, OK — (December 21, 2015) — Coming off a spectacular record setting season where the Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprint car series posted records for purse and contingency payouts, the series now unveils the 2016 racing schedule. In what will be the 15th season of competition for the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series, the 2016 schedule is currently stocked with 21 secure race dates with additional dates still in the working stages. The series will once again strive for more record setting achievements. Stay tuned for those future announcements.

The Ameri-Flex / OCRS series will open the 2016 season at the Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma on Saturday March 26th. It will be the first time BMS hosted the Ameri-Flex / OCRS season opener since 2013 when the series ran a wingless race where eventual champion Harli White scored the win. Pending and any additional late season add-ons, BMS is also scheduled to put an end to the season on September 17th.

Lawton Speedway will be second in line with the first of three 2016 tour stops. April 9th, June 4th and July 30th are the dates that will see the Ameri-Flex / OCRS drivers at Lanny’s house. The third event up will be at the Outlaw Motor Speedway on April 15th where Jessie Hoskins and Chris Smith will welcome the traveling warriors for an all open-wheel program. Then on August 26th, the gang is back at Outlaw for the second running of the Harold Leep Classic presented by Carter-Maxwell.

On April 23rd, the series will invade the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola Oklahoma where Carey and Nicole Menasco are still making improvements to the 3/8-mile track. Race teams are bound to embrace the new catch fence being installed. George and Judy Welch will hold the 8th Annual Harold Leep Jr. Memorial on May 7th. The sprinters return to the beach house on July 23rd and September 10th, which is the 10th Annual Oklahoma State Championship race.

The Salina Highbanks Speedway holds the first of three Ameri-Flex / OCRS shows on May 14th. The steep banking also gets tested on July 9th and August 20th where promoter David Edwards always runs a great program. Best rib-eye steaks anywhere can be found at Salina in their Finishline Restaurant. A must have.

The series returns to Jessie’s Joint aka the Longdale Speedway on May 21st. This will be the third year in a row for the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series to play on Longdale clay, which is the same length of time the track has been in existence. If you haven’t been yet, it is a well-built facility. Our friends in Missouri is still on the books as the a trek to the Show Me State to see the ‘Grand Ole Lady’ of the Monett Speedway takes another booking on June 6th.

And then there’s the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney Kansas. The ¼-mile bullring operated by Kerry Gorby, puts on some close knit racing and will serve the first of their three scheduled dates on May 28th for the “Salute To Americas Hero’s” during the Memorial Day Weekend. Caney Valley gets the sprints again on July 2nd for the Fireworks / Dirty 30 event and the 3 race sweep to CVS climaxes with the Labor Day weekend program on September 3rd.
Another trip to Kansas will see the Ameri-Flex / OCRS gang at the Humboldt Speedway on July 15th. This marks the 7th consecutive year that the Hummer has graced the opening schedule line-up for the series. Always great to be at the Hummer. The Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore OK will play host the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series during an all open wheel program on Friday September 16th.

At press time, the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series is placing together similar payouts to last season where additional purse money will be up for the taking. Those dates and venues will be announced in the near future so stay tuned.

The $5,000 To Win ‘Ameri-Flex Challenge’ race that was announced recently during the 2015 awards banquet will be held towards the latter part of the season. The date and venue will be announced in the near future. The Ameri-Flex Challenge will be the highest paying single race in history and…… its only 14 cars for 15 laps!
