– Losing a heartbreaker at the Petaluma Speedway one week ago, Andy Forsberg and his C&M Motorsports team came back strong on Saturday night as Forsberg had his elbows up on a heavy and fast Petaluma Speedway en route to his fifth win of the 2016 season.

“We had a really good car all night long, and had some good speed thanks to the guys,” Forsberg said. “They reworked the track during intermission and I thought it made for a great feature.”

Lining up in the second row of the feature event after timing in fourth fastest on Saturday night, Forsberg quickly got into the second spot as he set his sights on the early race leader, Bradley Terrell.

On the heavy and fast adobe served up by the Petaluma Speedway staff on this night, the Auburn, CA driver took a liking to it aboard his PitStopUSA/Autism Awareness/PT Shocks No. 7c machine. Surging to the lead on lap five, Forsberg would begin to set a torrid pace out front.

During a stretch that saw the race go 23-green flag laps consecutively, Forsberg spent much of the night in thick traffic, but his veteran savvy allowed him to carve through it masterfully.

Keeping his challengers at bay, Forsberg would lap up to eighth place as he turned a dominant performance to score his fifth win of the season with his C&M Motorsports team.

“It is great to come back and get a win for this team after losing one a week ago,” Forsberg added. “We have a big Civil War weekend coming up, so hopefully we can keep this going.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank PitStopUSA, Autism Awareness, Pacific Highway Rentals, PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, and Velocity Race Gear and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.

ON TAP: The C&M Motorsports team will hook up with the Civil War Series this weekend as they will be at the Marysville Raceway on Saturday night and the Silver Dollar Speedway on Sunday night.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-11, Wins-4, Top 5’s-8, Top 10’s-9.
