From Terre Haute
For the second time this season, rainfall has forced the cancellation of the MSCS Sprint Car series appearance at the Terre Haute Action Track. The Scott’s Custom Colors UMP Modifieds were also scheduled to race during the Sunday, August 14 program.
The MSCS Sprints were originally scheduled to run on Sunday, May 1 as part of the Spring Fling at the 1/2 mile oval. Following that rainout, a new date of August 14 was announced for the $3,000 to win show. However, Saturday evening and Sunday morning rains, with a forecast for more later, have put a damper on the show for a second time. The sprints also lost their Saturday night Hoosier Sprint Nationals at Tri-State Speedway.
Up next for the Action Track will be the Jim Hurtubise Classic for the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars. The race will be held on Friday, September 16 in conjunction with the Mods.
