Port Royal, Pa (May 26,2024)- Danny Dietrich bested a 53 car field in front of a crowd that wildly approved his win during the 40 lap High Limit “Bob Weikert Memorial” at Port Royal Speedway Sunday night.
Devon Borden led the early going until Tyler Courtney chased him down and took over. Behind Courtney, Dietrich and Anthony Macri were waging war for second position as they gradually closed in behind the leader. Dietrich took the lead on lap 30 and was looking good until a late caution put “Sunshine” on the leader’s bumper. Rico Abreu was coming and battled Courtney, which enabled Dietrich to stretch his lead as Dietrich, driving a “29” replica paint scheme, took the checkers for the popular win.
Rounding out the top five behind Dietrich was Tyler Courtney, Rico Abreu, Anthony Macri and Parker Price Miller.
