Trey Starks to Make Chili Bowl Debut

Trey Starks is well aware of the history, prestige and aura of the famed Chili Bowl Nationals. After all, his father John competed in the Chili Bowl during its formative years, finishing a very solid sixth in the 1995 edition of the star-studded event, which draws drivers from a multitude of racing series and disciplines. Trey will follow in his dad’s footsteps this year, as he’ll open his 2013 racing campaign in the Chili Bowl, which will mark his first career start in a midget.

Daryn Pittman has been hired by Kasey Kahne Racing to pilot the Great Clips/Sage Fruit No. 9 car for the 2013 racing season on the World of Outlaws tour. “I am very excited to accept the opportunity to drive for Kasey Kahne Racing. BOB JENKINS BECOMES USAC’S “SILVER VOICE”

Bob Jenkins of Carmel, Ind. has accepted the role of chief broadcaster for the TRAXXAS USAC Silver Crown Series for 2013. He will orchestrate the announcing duties for 11 events, beginning with the April 28 “Sumar Classic 100” at Terre Haute, Ind. and ending with the September 21 “4-Crown Nationals” at Rossburg, Ohio.
