Reclamation projects underway, Weight rule for sprints upped to 1,400-pounds

The annual Port Royal Speedway awards banquet will be held on January 8, 2011, at the Port Royal Community Building, located along 4th St., just off of the speedway’s backstretch.

After Tuesday’s decision by the Juniata County Agricultural Society to appoint Port Royal resident Steve O’Neal as race director for the upcoming 2011 racing season, the team of PRS Promotions led by O’Neal has hit the ground running in prepping for the new year.

The Juniata County Agricultural Society completed reorganization recently, naming a new president for the fairboard, which governs Port Royal Speedway. Don Clark of Mexico, Pennsylvania was elected president.
