CARDEY 2ND IN POINTS AS USAC/CRA SERIES RETURNS TO PERRIS!

When the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to action this Saturday night, May 28th, at Perris Auto Speedway, one of the favorites will be local racer David Cardey of Riverside. Heading into Saturday’s Salute To Indy event, Cardey is still looking for his first win of 2011, but he is a mere six-points behind the series leader.

Chad Humston – Back on the Track at Last…Busy Weekend Planned!

It had been almost two weeks, but the Mark Burch Motorsports #1m and driver, Chad Humston, finally got some racing action in last Saturday night at the 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas. A fourth place run proved to be a good preparation for this weekend. Five events are planned on the Memorial Day weekend schedule starting with I-80 Speedway on Thursday, and continuing at the Junction Motor Speedway Friday, Jetmore, Kansas on Saturday and Sunday, and finishing back at 81 Speedway on Monday.

Tuesdays with TMAC – Monster Win!

Terry McCarl scored his first win of 2011 last Friday night at the Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois with the Monster Energy™ Sprint Car Series. The win aboard the VerMeer Motorsports #55 marked the Altoona, Iowa driver’s first since mid-summer 2010 between a pair of serious injuries that sidelined him most of the season. The team is set for four races this weekend, starting Friday at Rock Rapids, Iowa and continuing Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway, and Sunday and Monday at Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota.

Geving powers to her second top three finish of the year at Petaluma

Penngrove’s Alissa Geving returned to her home track of Petaluma Speedway Saturday night to continue her quest towards a third championship title in the competitive All Pro Sprint Car Series at the 3/8 mile track on the Sonoma Marin County Fairgrounds. After some trying moments early in the night, Geving rallied to an impressive third place finish in the second point race of the season.

Following a weekend in Pennsylvania, the Big Game Treestands #7 team returned to ‘The Buckeye State’ on Friday as racing resumed at Attica Raceway Park, a 1/3-mile oval that Dollansky has recorded top-ten finishes in all four World of Outlaws starts including a podium finish in 2005.

Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders Open with Big Weekend Doubleheader!

The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders will kick off their season this Friday night, May 27, at the CJ Speedway in Columbus Junction, Iowa, and on Sunday, May 29 at the Quincy Raceways in Quincy, Illinois. After rain and cold temperatures ruined their opener at 34 Raceway in West Burlington on April 16, the series is highly anticipating getting things going this weekend!
