USAC Silver Crown Series

Toledo, Ohio has been a home to USAC racing dating back to the club’s inception in 1956. Over the past six decades, no driver has won more USAC races in the “Glass City” than did hometown hero, Rollie Beale, who won five USAC Sprint Car races on the half-mile, high-banked paved oval between 1971 and 1976.

Johnny Vance’s stealth black Beast with its golden yellow lettering and shimmering cherry red wheels was one of those cars that always caught your attention, even as it sat still in the pit area.

Each generation provides a group of racers who stand out amongst the crowd in regards to their prowess on certain types of surfaces, distances and the types of car.
