USAC Silver Crown Championship
USAC Silver Crown Championship
The first official weekend of summer symbolizes numerous aspects of life to many people. The warm weather, the beaches, the outdoors, the waterpark and other things. For racing fans, it symbolizes the fact that the season is in full swing, and that’s no exception for USAC drivers, teams, officials and fans who hit the highway to head northbound to Wisconsin for the first time during the 2024 season.
The sign at the turn four gate of the Belleville High Banks states boldly and proudly that this place is “where legends are made.” The legend of Kaylee Bryson is still growing, but on Saturday night at the 1/2-mile dirt oval in north central Kansas, she cemented herself in the record books by becoming the first woman to win a USAC nationally sanctioned event in the 69-year history of the organization.
Big cars. Big excitement! Twenty-seven USAC Silver Crown National Championship drivers and cars are on the entry list for this weekend’s Huncovsky Classic as the champ cars make their fifth ever appearance at the Belleville (Kan.) High Banks on Friday, May 17 for practice on Saturday, May 18 for the full racing program.
