ARP FALL CLASSIC” SATURDAY AT VENTURA RACEWAY

Alex Schutte of Redding, Calif. will lead the USAC Mopar Western Midgets into this Saturday night’s “ARP Fall Classic” National/Western showdown at the Ventura (Calif.) Raceway. Schutte finds himself 31 points ahead of former leader Cory Kruseman after finishing fourth in last Saturday night’s 30-lap “Pacific Coast Nationals” feature at the Gropetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. Kruseman finished 18th at Tulare.

NATIONAL-WESTERN MIDGETS SQUARE OFF AT TULARE NOV. 13

The USAC Mopar National and Western Midgets square off November 13 at Tulare (Calif.) Thunderbowl Raceway as part of this year’s “Pacific Coast Nationals” program also featuring the AMSOIL USAC National and USAC/CRA Sprint cars. Bryan Clauson leads the 2010 National standings entering the event but the real drama is expected to come in the battle for the 2010 Western Midget crown, where three drivers are separated by only 10 points!

Brad Loyet picked up the USAC Western Midget feature at Ventura Raceway Saturday evening. Loyet was followed by Johnathon Henry, Randi Pankratz, David Prickett and Robby Josett. Nick Carlson won the Ford Focus main.

WESTERN MIDGETS GEAR UP FOR JULY 17 STOCKTON RACE

Cory Kruseman of Ventura, Calif. continues to lead the 2010 USAC Mopar Western Midget Series points after a heartbreaking second-place finish Saturday night at Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway. He holds a 24-point cushion over Alex Schutte entering a July 17 race at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway.
