Russ Stoehr Joins NEMA Win List
Coming from the eighth starting spot, Russ Stoehr (Dumo’s Desire 45) had the lead seven laps in and went on to win the 25-lap Northeastern Midget Association feature Sunday at Waterford Speedbowl’s Weekend Finale. It was the first win of the season for Stoehr who became the 11th winner in 12 NEMA races this season.

Joshua Stephens won the sprint car feature Saturday night at Valley Speedway. Rob Hockett, Bob Thoman, Chris Parkinson, and Zachary Sanders rounded out the top five.

The 17th Gold Fever Open was offered at Paul and Kathy Hawes’ Marysville Raceway Park Saturday night. GEICO Insurance and Econo Lube and Tune sponsored the annual event for winged 360 sprint cars and wingless spec sprints.

The final point night for the 360 sprint cars at Riverside International Speedway was rained out. The event has been rescheduled for October 13th.
