The 2011 USAC Midwest Ford Focus Series, announced today, includes 14 paved and 11 dirt races, incorporating seven race tracks in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
The bowl season is winding down. It will end on the highest of notes though, with this week’s 25th Anniversary of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at the QuikTrip Center’s Tulsa Expo Raceway.
Dave Brzozowksi, 50, of Avon, Ind. has been named Competition Director for USAC’s three National circle track racing series, Silver Crown, AMSOIL Sprint and Mopar Midget, and will also oversee USAC Technical operations for all of USAC’s various racing series.
The Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889 was one of the defining moments of pre-Oklahoma state history. And, each January, that Land Rush is reenacted in part when the big doors of the Tulsa Fairgrounds QuikTrip Center open up for Chili Bowl Nationals parking.
Checkered Flag Sprint Series crowned the 2010 series champions Saturday night at the annual awards banquet ceremony held at the Red Rose Inn & Suites in Plant City, Fl. The evening started with cocktails and a buffet style dinner for the seventy some guests that attended the event.
