Swindell Sails to Win in Opener of Gold Cup, Meyers Takes Point Lead

Sammy Swindell won the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway for the first time in 1981 and has been trying to win the famed event ever since. The three-time World of Outlaws champion moved one step closer to that goal on Thursday night returning to Victory Lane in the opener of the three-day event to score his first triumph at the ¼-mile bullring since a preliminary feature win in 1996.

Reed Looks to Clinch His First Ever FAST Crown as Season’s End Nears

The final chapter on the 2010 Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series presented by SRP Pistons & Engine Pro season will be written on Saturday, September 11th at Fremont Speedway on Season Championship Night. The top-9 have all clinched their share of the $60,000 point fund and surprisingly the top-3 spots are comprised of the same three drivers (Byron Reed, Mark Keegan and 2009 FAST Champion Craig Mintz) that competed for the inaugural title just one year ago. SOUTHWEST CONTRACTORS 360 CLASH SHOOTOUT AT HANFORD SATURDAY

The Southwest Contractors 360 Clash Championship will be up for grabs this Saturday, September 11th, at Hanford’s Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway. The “Jim Turner Memorial” will be the finale for the special four race mini-series featuring the USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series. Joining the powerful Sprint Cars will be the IMCA Stock Cars and Bud Light Mini-Stocks. The Spectator Gates will open at 5:30pm, with Time Trials scheduled for 6:30pm, and racing to follow.

After a week hiatus over the Labor Day Weekend, Mercer Raceway Park roars back to life this Saturday night, September 11 with a blockbuster event featuring the Western PA Sprint Championship presented by Ehrlich Your Local Pest Control Experts and the BRP Modified Tour presented by Rock Concrete along with the 4 Your Car Connection FASTRAK Late Models, Big Daddy’s Speed Center Stock Cars, and the M&D Paving Mini Stocks.
