The successes have continued the last two weeks for Austin McCarl. After finishing tenth in the final Knoxville Raceway 410 point standings, he ventured on to Huset’s Speedway for a solid sixth place finish. Last weekend, he competed at the Jerry Richert Memorial at the Cedar Lake Speedway near New Richmond, Wisconsin where he drove from 19th to 12th in the finale. It was a great showing for seventeen year-old Austin McCarl at the 50th Anniversary of the Knoxville Nationals. A solid 11th place showing on his qualifying night put him in the B main, where he would come home seventh, just three spots away from the main event. He will use this week to regroup and prepare for the final two nights at the Knoxville Raceway, where he sits tenth in the point race.
