One year after capturing Thursday night’s 4-Crown Nationals Presented by NKTELCO opener at the Rossburg, Ohio 1/2-mile dirt oval, Danner did the deed again, leading all 30 laps en route to victory at the helm of his Hogue Racing Enterprises/E. Schneider & Sons – Keystone Cap/DRC/Rider Chevy.
Winning the Bettenhausen 100 requires skill, speed, good timing, and good fortune. Briggs Danner had all of those traits in spades throughout Saturday afternoon’s 63rd running of the Bettenhausen 100 Presented by Hunt Brothers Pizza at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
Briggs Danner provided redemption for himself and his team on Wednesday night with a drive to victory in the BC39 Presented by Avanti Windows & Doors. Danner, from Allentown, Pennsylvania, earned his first career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship victory at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in one of the most prestigious short-track races in the country.
How can you mend a broken heart? Well, if you’re Briggs Danner, you simply jump back on the horse, get back to work, and do what you do best.During Wednesday night’s second round of USAC Yokohama Tire Eastern Storm Presented by Levan Machine at New Jersey’s Bridgeport Motorsports Park, Danner did exactly that.
For Briggs Danner, Circle City Raceway just seemed to be one of those places that he couldn’t connect with over the years in USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship competition.
Yet, during Thursday night’s Circle City Salute Presented by Desnuda Tequila, Danner found the Indianapolis, Indiana 1/4-mile dirt oval to his liking, much thanks to a monster curb that bit others, but was one that Danner’s car found bite on.
Allentown, Pennsylvania’s Briggs Danner rolled into New Jersey’s Bridgeport Motorsports Park with one goal – win. He got it, but not without a full-throttle fight from start to finish.
