Abreu Dominates 4-Crown Midget Car Feature at Eldora

Rico Abreu made his effort to fly back from New Hampshire to run the USAC National Midget Car Series portion of the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway worthwhile with a dominating victory in the feature event. Abreu was fast qualifier, won his heat race, and then took the lead from Chad Boat and drove away from the field. The win was Abreu’s second 4-Crown Midget Car feature win of his career driving for Keith Kunz Motorsports.

USAC Sprint Cars Head to Eldora for the 4-Crown

USAC / CRA Sprint Cars Head to Perris for Glenn Howard Classic

This Saturday, September 24th, the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will return to action at Perris Auto Speedway. Promoted by Don Kazarian, “9th Annual Glenn Howard Classic” will also showcase the PAS Senior Sprints and the PAS Young Gun Sprints. Santa Maria hosts USAC Western Midget Car Series Saturday

After a successful Northern California swing to Calistoga and Chico, the USAC Western States Midgets will return to action this Saturday, September 17th, at Santa Maria Raceway. Promoted by Mike Kappmeyer, the tenth point race will also feature IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, and American Stocks. The Spectator Gates will open at 4:00pm. Ray Shows Authority at Daughtry

Davey Ray ran down Tanner Thorson in lapped traffic in the final five laps, battling wheel-to-wheel all the way around the three-eighths-mile dirt oval until Ray’s winning move on Thorson in turn two on lap 22. Ray, of Davenport, Iowa, had to withstand one final green-white-checkered restart, yet was able to cruise away to his first USAC Indiana Midget Championship victory Saturday night at Daugherty Speedway.
