OCRS Takes Flight at Southern Oklahoma Speedway

Tulsa OK — (June 29, 2012) – The wait is over and the time has arrived for the winged warriors of the Oil Capital Racing Series to make their second ever stop at John & Nicky Webb’s Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore and it all happens this Saturday night. Passmore, Gastineau, Smith, Owens, Wood Jr, Essary, Mattox, Kent, Waddell and White are but a few of the wicked winged warriors expected to compete on the newly shaped racing surface.

You can now add Norman’s Danny Jennings to the list of lead foots that will look to take OCRS victory hardware at SOS. Jennings is a multi time sprint car champion at the former State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City and continues to be a force anywhere he checks in. In addition to being highly competitive, Jennings has a dedicated fan base that thrives on the Goodyear backed #1j sprinters every thrust. Can “DJ” place the Goodyear rocket in victory lane? Come on out to Southern Oklahoma Speedway this Saturday night and witness the action first hand!

Race fans can get an up-close and personal look at Whit “Gasman” Gastineau and brother Beau “The Show” Gastineau” as they will have their winged sprint cars displayed at “Home Grown Stone” in Ardmore from 2:30 – 4:00pm. The guys will sign autographs and T-shirts will be given away to the first 30 people that arrive. There will be a pair of race tickets given away as well at 4pm. Home Grown Stone is located at:

Race track Directions from Interstate 35:

Take exit 29 and proceed east approximately ½ mile to Hwy 77

Turn south onto Hwy 77. Track is approx. 2 miles on right.
