Knoxville, IA — (June 12, 2013) — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series returns to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, June 15. This exciting night of racing will be the final tune-up for the World of Outlaws drivers before the Knoxville Nationals on August 7-10. The Mediacom Shootout World of Outlaws is the greatest show on dirt featuring a night of non-stop action as the drivers take to the track at breakneck speeds on the legendary Knoxville half-mile track.
North Dakota’s Donny Schatz (winner of the May 11 World of Outlaws event and 2006 Knoxville Nationals champion) returns to Knoxville to attempt a second win. Enthusiasts are also keeping an eye on the May 11 World of Outlaws third place finisher and Knoxville regular, Brian Brown, as he’s been extremely fast in recent weekly competitions. Daryn Pittman, the current World of Outlaws points leader, is another driver to keep an eye on as he looks to improve upon his seventh place finish at the May 11 event. Fans will also be cheering on the Knoxville weekly drivers as they try to steal the win from the Outlaws.
Knoxville Raceway provides an affordable night of entertainment and excitement for the entire family. With races nearly every weekend until September, fans of all ages can immerse themselves at the most exhilarating and intense dirt track in the world.
