Windom, MN — (April 7, 2016) — The National Sprint League’s season-opening event this Saturday has been postponed.

Extremely cold temperatures are expected to blanket 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, this weekend, which has forced series and track officials to seek another date for the event.

“We want to be mindful of our fans and the drivers so everyone felt it was best to postpone Saturday’s show,” National Sprint League Competition Director Chuck Zitterich said. “Thanks to Amy and her team at 34 Raceway for their hard work. We are looking for an alternate date.”

Track officials announced that anyone who has purchased suite tickets and has paid in advance will be credited on Saturday.

The next scheduled National Sprint League event is May 6 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., for the $10,000-to-win Dirt Classic I-80.
