ROSSBURG, OH (September 21, 2024) — Abreu and Brad Sweet started on the front row for the 30-lap feature. The first attempt to start the feature was short lived when Zach Hampton and Danny Sams III stopped between turns one and two to bring out the caution flag. Both drivers restarted at the tail of the field.

Abreu drove to the lead with Brad Sweet keeping pace in the second position. Sweet was able to build up some momentum around the top to challenge Abreu on lap two in turns one and two but could not make the pass.

After a caution for Ryan Timms and Darin Naida getting together on the front stretch. Timms team was able to make repairs for the restart while Naida had enough front-end damage to end his night.

Abreu continued to lead after the double file restart with Sweet on his back bumper. Sweet looked to the outside in turn four on lap two, setting up a slide job through turns one and two on lap three, but could not make the pass.

Jacob Allen started to become a factor on lap five as he passed Anthony Macri for the third position. On lap seven Allen started to pressure Sweet for the second position, taking the spot on lap eight. Further ahead of him Abreu nearly was collected by a lapped car slowing but was able to avoid heavy contact and maintained the lead.

On lap 11 Brad Sweet built up momentum and drove by Allen for the second position, but the caution flag came out before the pass was complete for Brian Brown coming to a stop on the inside of turn two.

Allen look to the inside of Abreu during the restart. Abreu then changed his line to run low in turns three and four and was able to pull away from Allen. Further back in the pack Macri and Friday night’s High Limit Series feature winner at Eldora Speedway Justin Peck raced for the fourth position with Peck getting the spot on lap 13.

The caution flag appeared again on lap 18 when Parker Price-Miller slowed on the front stretch with a flat right rear tire.

During the restart Abreu was able to hold off a challenge by Allen for the lead while Spencer Bayston railed the top to move into third position.

Abreu was able to pull away until the later stages of the feature while going through slower traffic, which allowed Allen to close in. Abreu was able to maintain enough of an advantage to win the feature over Allen, Bayston, Macri, and Peck.
