It’s Bacon at Macon!

Brady Bacon picked up a well needed win on Saturday night in Scott Ronk’s #99 midget at the Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois in POWRi action. He added a solid finish in the Hoffman Racing #69 machine with USAC Friday night at the “Larry Rice Classic” in Bloomington, Indiana, and appeared headed for a win Sunday night in the Wilke-Pak midget at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin before mechanical ills sidelined him there. Four races are planned this week, starting with tonight’s 43rd Annual Tony Hulman Classic at the Terre Haute Action Track in Indiana.

The Jeremy Scadden #6 team and driver Kaley Gharst are eying their racing options this weekend after making their first trek to the Knoxville Raceway last Saturday night. Unfortunately, their plans to run Huset’s Speedway near Brandon, South Dakota were washed away Sunday night. Options this weekend include the UMSS or Sprint Invaders Series, Knoxville and Huset’s.

Since recording a top-ten at Williams Grove on Friday, Mother Nature has been a thorn in the side of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars. After the following night of action at Williams Grove was canceled, rain showers in the Middletown, NY area forced Sunday’s event to be moved to Monday as the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team returned to Orange County Fair Speedway since posting a 9th place run last May.

Kerry Madsen – Eastern Tour Continues Tonight!

Kerry Madsen is in the midst of the World of Outlaws eastern tour. A combination of a tough draw and the tough Pennsylvania Posse were the story last weekend, and the Keneric Racing #29 team finished 14th last night in Middletown, New York. Things continue tonight at the New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey, on Friday at the Dirt Track in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Monday at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana.
