4-RACE “FREEDOM TOUR” STARTS AT LAWTON WEDNESDAY

The 2014 “Freedom Tour” unfolds this week, showcasing USAC’s Southwest Sprint Car stars in four races in Oklahoma and Kansas.

Race one is Wednesday night at Lawton (Okla.) Speedway, while Thursday’s race is at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. The final two races are Friday’s event at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kans. and Saturday’s finale at Dodge City (Kans.) Raceway Park.

“CALIFORNIA RACERS HALL OF FAME NIGHT” SATURDAY AT THE PAS

The USAC/CRA Sprint Car series resumes action this Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway after a month-long hiatus.

Two-time defending series champion Damion Gardner sits atop the 2014 standings, 111-ahead of five-time champion Mike Spencer. Gardner’s four Perris wins this season have extended his all-time Perris victory lead over Spencer to five (30-25).
