USAC National Sprint Car Championship
USAC National Sprint Car Championship
”This is the most excited I’ve been for the start of a race season in a very long time.” Those are ear-catching words for a driver like Kevin Thomas Jr., who stands not only as one of the most successful USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship drivers of his era, but of any era.
Just six years earlier, Daison Pursley stood on the stage at USAC’s Night of Champions as the club’s Restricted 600 Micro Sprint champion for 2017. So much has happened in the Locust Grove, Oklahoma native’s life and racing career since that point, and the journey just to get back into the seat of a racecar has been a long and arduous one.
It’s the first of times. It’s the last of times.
It’s the start of one chapter and the closing of another when the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship ventures to Meeker, Oklahoma’s Red Dirt Raceway for the first time ever on Friday-Saturday, October 27-28.
