Let me start this week by wishing everyone Happy Holidays and great new racing season:-) Schedules are starting to come together, and the gears are in full motion at Slideways central figuring out where we’ll be attending races out during the 1999 season. It’s mid-November and my life is still going 100 miles per hour. Just when racing season starts to quiet down throughout the Midwest, college really starts to pick up and I wonder where I ever found time to go to the races. Actually since changing my major to Computer Networking I have found a lot more free time to go out and have some fun this semester. Kenny Jacobs led wire to wire in Saturday night’s All Star Circuit of Champions feature at the Butler Battlegrounds in Quincy, Michigan. This was Kenny’s fourth All Star win of the season, and the first ever win for car owner Tim Hughes in the state of Michigan after having terrible luck up in the Wolverine State. […]
Kevin Huntley ended his very long dry spell with the All Star Circuit of Champions Friday night at the Crystal Raceway by winning the GM Powertrain 40. Huntley certainly had to work hard to end his winless streak because of a race long battle with Dean Jacobs and Kelly Kinser despite running on six cylinders and the motor overheating. Kenny Jacobs decimated the field in the All Star sprint 30-lap feature Saturday night at Eldora Speedway. The win for Jacobs was his second All Star win of the season, and it was his first time back racing since a back injury earlier this season. […]
If you read the front page of the website today, you have already seen that I had a lot of fun driving down to Eldora and back on Saturday. Because of the rain I might be at the All Star show this weekend. However, if the weather forecast is for more doom and gloom I will just wait until the World of Outlaw weekend to hit the Big E.
