Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame adds Smokey the Clown vehicles to collection

The Fremont Speedway Historic Club – thanks to the family of Phil Huss aka Smokey the Clown – has added to its collection, the 1931 Model A Ford “Leapin’ Lenna and the 1947 Crosley. These cars will be used for special occasions at Fremont Speedway and local parades, etc. The family of Phil Huss has also donated many items of Smokey’s to be displayed in the hall of fame.

Brian Brown – Cali Win Sets Up Final Weekend in Golden State!

It had been a bit of a drought, but Brian Brown and the Casey’s General Stores/FVP #21 team picked up a much needed win in the state of California last Saturday night. The victory came at the Gary Jacob Memorial for Rebel Cup Series sprints at the King’s Speedway in Hanford. The Grain Valley, Missouri driver will return to Hanford Friday with the World of Outlaws before hitting the Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday.

Sunny Weather Brings Three More Winners in Central Pa. Point Series

The weather was sunny and warmer with winter finally on it’s way out. The Speedway Motors/Champion Racing Oil Central PA Sprint Cars began Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway where Danny Dietrich in the Gary Kauffman #48 won his first feature of the year. Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway Rick Lafferty also parked his #0 in victory lane for his first win of the year. At Lincoln Speedway series point leader Fred Rahmer took his 2nd series win of the year in the Sell Racing 20s.
