Bruce Jr. led all 30 laps of the Nebraska 360 Sprints main event at Butler County Speedway in Rising City, Neb., to capture his second win of the season. This time it was at the home track of crew member Austin Bradley.
Wheatley overcame early issues to pick up his first career sprint car victory in the United States and his first ever at Skagit Speedway during the John Carroll Classic.
The two wins at Cottage Grove Speedway highlighted a four-race weekend with the ASCS Northwest Region throughout Oregon.
This year he has added incentive for the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event on Saturday, May 31. McMahan claimed last year’s race on the half-mile track. However, the track has since been reconfigured to a wider, 3/8-mile oval.
“Realistically our goal is top two or three every night,” he said. “My personal goal is that I want to get a win this weekend. If I can’t do that I’m shooting for top threes every night.”
Hafertepe Jr. led all 25 laps of the ASCS Lone Star Region and ASCS Sooner Region co-sanctioned feature at Devil’s Bowl Speedway to pick up the triumph.

“Overall I think there were some positive things that we can build on as we continue to work on our program,” he said. “We’re still working on getting our race car where we need it to be at Knoxville.”
The memorial race featuring the Sprints On Dirt series marked the first time Lasoski and the team tackled Plymouth Speedway.
Felker will pilot a car for Rick King during the 100-lap feature at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.
