Eldora Speedway
One of the biggest weeks in Sprint Car Racing has arrived. All eyes are on Ohio this week as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars roll into the “Buckeye State” for a trio of prestigious races.
Hear ye! Hear ye! The throne at Eldora Speedway awaits a new king. The best Sprint Car drivers in the world will duel for the crown when the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series returns to the “Big E” for the 41st Kings Royal weekend, Friday-Saturday, July 19-20.
Eldora Speedway showed exactly why it’s known as “The World’s Greatest Dirt Track” on Saturday night. The #LetsRaceTwo finale for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars gave fans a main event they couldn’t look away from. It was everything you could ask for. A 10-time champion battling a driver eying his first. A tricky racing surface with multiple grooves. Several late passes for the lead including one last move to secure the victory on the last lap.
The jubilation following a hard-fought victory is one of the most satisfying experiences in all of sport.
However, the celebration displayed by Justin Grant in the immediate moments after his USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship score on Saturday night at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway was certainly one that won’t soon be forgotten.
There are few things in life that stir up the senses like Rossburg, Ohio’s Eldora Speedway. From the pure adrenaline rush of witnessing a USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car on the hammer at speed up against the outside wall to the history of the place that was carved out of a western Ohio field some seven decades ago, there is simply nothing else like it.
