R.J. JOHNSON ADDS QUEEN CREEK’S “SPRING FLING” TO WIN LIST

Grabbing the lead from Josh Pelkey on lap six, R.J. Johnson of Phoenix claimed Saturday’s “Spring Fling” victory at Arizona Speedway. The $1,500 USAC SouthWest Sprint Car triumph marked Johnson’s first win of the season (12th overall) as the series heads back to Canyon Speedway Park on April 26th. Concord’s “The Demon” Damion Gardner raced to his third consecutive Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car victory of the campaign. Taking the lead from Matt Mitchell on lap four and battling with Mike Spencer, Gardner claimed the $2,500 “So Cal Sprint Car Spectacular” at Perris Auto Speedway.
