TANKERSLEY PLANS ON HEADING NORTH FOR WEEKEND
Channin Tankersley is excited to leave the comfortable confines of Texas.
This weekend he is planning on heading to a trio of ASCS regional events in Missouri and Nebraska. Although he has three combined career races at the three tracks, it will be Tankersley’s second weekend outside his home state this season.

Former USCS Rookie of the Year Ben Basinger killed in highway accident
Twenty-eight year old Ben Basinger from Salisbury, North Carolina who was a former United Sprint Car Series National Rookie of the Year was killed in a highway accident near Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, September 3rd at approximately 11:00 A.M. Basinger was serving his Nation as an F-16 Crew Chief in the United States Air Force at nearby Luke Air Force Base.

McCarl Scores Labor Day Victory at Huset’s
Terry McCarl slid under Donovan Peterson on lap 10 and went on to win the 25-lap Outlaw Sprint feature tonight at Huset’s Speedway. The win was his 87th overall at the track. Jordan Martens survived a mid-race challenge by Brant O’Banion and won the IMCA 360 Sprint main event.
