Austin Liggett Doubles Up at Santa Maria
After winning the companion USAC Western States Midget feature at Santa Maria, Austin Liggett (Tracy, CA) scored his first USAC West Coast Sprint Car victory of 2019. Driving the family owned #83 Excel Environmental Services / Liggett Trucking Maxim, Liggett claimed his eighth career win over fast qualifier Michael Faccinto, Tristan Guardino, Kaleb Montgomery, and J.J. Ringo.

Liggett Wins USAC Western States Midget Feature at Santa Maria
Racing past Cory Elliott on lap 26, Austin Liggett (Tracy, CA) sailed to his second straight USAC Western States Midget triumph. Piloting the family owned #83 Excel Environmental Services / Liggett Trucking Spike, Liggett topped the 30-lap Santa Maria feature over fast qualifier Robert Dalby, Chase Stockon, Elliott, and Shannon McQueen.

Santa Maria hosts USAC Western Midget Car Series Saturday
After a successful Northern California swing to Calistoga and Chico, the USAC Western States Midgets will return to action this Saturday, September 17th, at Santa Maria Raceway. Promoted by Mike Kappmeyer, the tenth point race will also feature IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, and American Stocks. The Spectator Gates will open at 4:00pm.
