Due To Rain STARS Debut Rescheduled To June 6 with Patrick Wilda Jr. Night

The Short Track Auto Racing Series (STARS) season opener has been rescheduled for this Saturday June 6th at Grundy County Speedway due to rain last Saturday. STARS will have all five divisions competing and will be led by The D’Arcy GMC National Midgets. Opening night will honor the late Patrick Wilda Jr., who lost his life in an industrial accident in January.

Donny Schatz feels right at home at Kokomo Speedway in Indiana

North Dakota will always be home for Donny Schatz, but Indiana could probably be considered a home away from home for the six-time and defending World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion. After all, his Tony Stewart Racing team is based in the Indianapolis suburb of Brownsburg, and Schatz won four out of five races on Hoosier soil last season. One of those victories came at Kokomo Speedway, which marked the first time he had won at the always racy quarter-mile bullring.

Summer Showdown at Tri-State Speedway next for MSCS

The Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series will be racing twice in the month of June. Both races will be at the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana. The first event is the Tri-State Summer Showdown. The MSCS Sprints will participate along with the Summit Modifieds. The sprint car feature will pay 2,000 to win and the modified feature will pay $1,500 to win. The second race is not until June 27th.

What was once a one-night show for the FVP National Sprint League at I-80 Speedway has now become a huge two-day event! Thanks to promoter Joe Kosiski, Phil Durst of Durst Motorplex, and Huffman Productions, Inc., Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 will be dubbed the “Road to Knoxville”, paying $5,000 to win the prelim and $10,000 to win the FVP National Sprint League finale.
