A Quick Trip Home: Kraig Kinser in Action at Bloomington Speedway

Racing with the World of Outlaws in the heart of the summer, it’s not very often that a driver gets to go home, let alone race at their home track. Kraig Kinser will get to do both of those this week, as the series pays a visit to Bloomington Speedway in Indiana, for the second straight year, before heading to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 for the Ironman 55.

OPENINGS REMAIN IN MUSEUM-BENEFIT UNITED TRAILERS GOLF CLASSIC IN MEMORY OF GOBRECHT

Openings for foursomes, pairs and singles remain for the National Sprint Car Museum-benefit United Trailers Golf Classic in memory of Kevin Gobrecht, to be held at Pella’s Bos Landen Golf Club on Friday, August 10, at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $80 per person and includes cart, range balls and lunch. This best-shot tournament is held annually during the Knoxville Nationals sprint car races.

“3RD ANNUAL JIM EVETT MEMORIAL” AT HANFORD SATURDAY

This Saturday, August 4th, the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series will return to Scott Woodhouse’s Kings Speedway in Hanford. The “3rd Annual Jim Evett Memorial” will also showcase IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, and Mini Stocks. The front gates will open at 5:00pm and racing at the “King of the Dirt Tracks” will begin at 6:30pm.

Brandon Wimmer – Closer to the Track!

A year ago, Brandon Wimmer underwent serious back surgery, putting things in doubt for him. Today, he is just about ready to get back out on the track after a long road to recovery that included setbacks and complications. He is planning on taking in the Knoxville Nationals next week, and is making plans to get back on the track soon.
