In what has quickly become the challenge race of all challenge races in Pennsylvania, the 11th Annual Mach 1 Chassis National Open for 358-360 Sprint Cars is expected to be another showdown among drivers from the 358, 360, and 410 sprint car divisions at Selinsgrove Speedway this Saturday, Sept. 3, beginning at 7 p.m.

Rain from Hurricane Irene forced Selinsgrove Speedway officials to cancel Saturday night’s four division racing program at 2 p.m.

While the 2011 racing season at Selinsgrove Speedway is beginning to wind down, the championship chases are heating up, particularly in the A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint car and Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center late model divisions

The month of September will again be one of the richest months in the 66-year history of Selinsgrove Speedway with more than $80,000 in prize money being posted for the 11th Annual Mach 1 Chassis National Open for 358-360 Sprint Cars on Saturday, Sept. 3, and the Jim Nace Memorial 29th Annual National Open for 410 Sprint Cars on Saturday, Sept. 17.
