MATT HEIMBACH HOLDS OFF COUSIN BLANE HEIMBACH FOR FIRST SELINSGROVE SPRINT WIN

The victory in Saturday night’s 25-lap 358 sprint car
feature at Selinsgrove Speedway came down to a final-lap duel between
cousins Matt Heimbach and Blane Heimbach of Selinsgrove. Following a
side-by-side race through turns three and four, it was Matt who took his
first career checkered flag at Selinsgrove by just a half of a second over
Blane.

SPRINT CARS FEATURED IN HOLIDAY WEEKEND SPECIAL EVENTS

Selinsgrove Speedway will showcase two sprint car
specials over the Fourth of July weekend. The 358 sprint cars will be
featured in the Firecracker 30 this Saturday, July 3, with the 410 sprint
cars taking the spotlight in the PA Speedweek finale this Sunday, July 4.
Track gates will open at 5 p.m. and qualifying will begin at 7:30 p.m. both
nights.

CANNON’S WINNING STREAK CONTINUES IN SPRINTS AT SELINSGROVE

Pat Cannon of Etters drove to his fifth win of the
season in Saturday night’s 25-lap main event for 358 sprint cars at
Selinsgrove Speedway. Both Mike Walter of Penns Creek and Blane Heimbach of
Selinsgrove attempted to reel in Cannon on the speedway’s smooth,
“glass-top” surface to offer a challenge for the victory to no avail.

Cannon Wins Whitcomb Memorial at Selinsgrove

Pat Cannon’s winning streak in central Pennsylvania
continued Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway when the Etters driver
claimed his fourth victory at the track in the seventh annual Joe Whitcomb
Memorial for 358 sprint cars.

SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY TO PRESENT WHITCOMB MEMORIAL SATURDAY

The seventh annual Joe Whitcomb Memorial for 358 sprint
cars will pay $1,771 to win and $225 to start this Saturday, June 19, at
Selinsgrove Speedway. The 25-lap tribute race will honor the memory of the
late open wheel racer from Millersburg who succumbed to injuries sustained
in a sprint car racing accident at the track on June 21, 2003.

CANNON WINS FIRST OF SEASON IN SELINSGROVE SPRINTS

Pat Cannon of Etters powered to a convincing win in
Saturday night’s 25-lap 358 sprint car main event at Selinsgrove Speedway.
Becoming the third different sprint car winner in as many races this season
at Selinsgrove, Cannon’s victory was the 18th of his career at the track
behind the wheel of the Highlands Tire Service No. 3.
