The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host two events in 2026. One of the most prestigious events in dirt racing – the BC39 presented by Avanti Windows & Doors featuring the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship – returns for its eighth running on June 30-July 1.
Throughout the past 70 years of USAC competition, racers hailing from the state of Maryland have seemingly been few and far between.
In 2025, Steven Snyder Jr. waved the Maryland flag proudly by earning accolades as the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship Max Papis Innovations Bob Stroud Rookie of the Year.
One year ago, Corey Day placed himself in the record books as the youngest ever Turkey Night Grand Prix winner. On Saturday, one night after celebrating his 20th birthday, the Clovis, California racer became the youngest two-time victor of the ARP Turkey Night Grand Prix Presented by The West Coast Stock Car/Motorsports Hall of Fame at California’s Ventura Raceway.
