For Briggs Danner and Ohio’s Toledo Speedway, it was love at first sight. It’s last call as the USAC Silver Crown trail in 2026 comes to the end of the road this Saturday, October 3.
The place is Toledo Speedway. The race is the 13th running of the Hemelgarn Racing / Super Fitness Rollie Beale Classic as the champ cars make their curtain call for the year on the 1/2-mile, high-banked paved oval in the upper northwest part of Ohio.
The drought is over for the champion. The last two months haven’t been ideal for David Gravel and Big Game Motorsports. Sure, they’ve consistently racked up top 10 finishes and maintained a solid point lead, but this crew is accustomed to winning and winning often.
The 2026 season for Macri Motorsports will be one for the record books. Injuries have derailed a stellar year twice for Anthony Macri. This week, he’s returned to driving duties again and just in time to represent the Pennsylvania Posse at the 64th J&S Classics National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on Oct. 2-3.
