Rilat Notches Top 10s in Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek Action
After taking a couple of weeks off, Travis Rilat scored a pair of top 10s in his return to Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action last weekend.
“It was one of the best tracks I’ve raced on in a long time,” he said. “It was really, really good. There was a top, a bottom. Actually, there was a pretty good middle. It was really wide.”
It began on Wednesday at Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, N.J., where Marks qualified 12th quickest and was in staging for his heat race when fellow competitor Jason Leffler sustained a life-ending crash at the 5/8-mile track. The event was cancelled.
Instead, Tony Bruce Jr. salvaged the first half of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek by gaining 29 positions in the features to end with a pair of top fives and a 12th-place finish in a trio of events.
