Saturday’s USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship season opener at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway, scheduled for April 27, has been canceled due to rain. Standing water in the pits and on the 1/4-mile dirt oval from morning precipitation forced cancellation of the first night of the Kokomo Grand Prix.
It’s been 686 days since we’ve last witnessed a USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship event at Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway.
Putting things in perspective, it’s been a mere 1092 days since we’ve last been able to enjoy a Kokomo Grand Prix feature race. It’s not like we’ve been counting the day or anything, right?
