A first time visit to Wichita’s 81 Speedway on Sunday night wasn’t in the original weekend game plan for Aaron Reutzel.

But, when Saturday night’s Twin Features for 360’s at Knoxville Raceway was washed out, plans changed for Reutzel and the Bob and Christie Miller’s Car Parts Machine/Wren Motorsports No. 87 Triple-X team.

Another big win highlighted yet another strong weekend for Aaron Reutzel as he and the Bob and Christie Miller’s Car Parts Machine/Wren’s Motorsports No. 87 team kicked off a critical month of May with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

Fresh off his first ASCS National win the previous weekend, Aaron Reutzel continued his winning ways by topping the Nolan Wren Classic for the third consecutive year on Saturday night at the Gator Motorplex in Willis, TX.

“It couldn’t have been a better night, we’ve been trying to get that one for a long time,” Aaron Reutzel exclaimed after bagging his first career ASCS National Tour feature win at Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway on Saturday.

Aaron Reutzel has Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway in his sites coming off another strong weekend that included a pair of top-five runs for the Stafford Performance-powered Bob and Christie Miller’s Car Parts Machine/Wren’s Motorsports No. 87 Triple-X chassis.

Just when it looked as if Aaron Reutzel was poised to snare a podium finish in ASCS National action, a mechanical gremlin emerged from nowhere to stop the Clute, Texas driver’s run short in Saturday’s Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals finale.

This past weekend’s Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals may have been cut short, but Lucas Oil ASCS National contender Aaron Reutzel didn’t let that bother him as he still came away with a pair of strong outings.
