Less than a week ago, Cannon McIntosh was busy becoming the first multi-time winner of the BC39 at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. On Tuesday night, McIntosh was in the process of becoming the first three-time USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget winner at Missouri’s Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.
Kale Drake may not be overly superstitious, but at the least, he is certainly a little bit stitious. Prior to Sunday night’s USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship event at Missouri’s Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex, the Collinsville, Oklahoma native was involved in a series of fortunate events with the number two featuring prominently everywhere he turned.
For Buddy Kofoid, Missouri’s Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex is where it all started. For Cannon McIntosh, it was the home of one of his finest driving performances. Both have experienced some of their most spectacular and monumental moments behind the wheel in USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship competition at Sweet Springs.
