Cale Thomas held off a late race charge from Danny Dietrich to win the third night of the 42nd Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek at Waynesfield Raceway Park by just .001 seconds. Thomas’ victory came despite a broken rear suspension piece after he collided with the front stretch wall midway through the 30-lap Ti 22 Performance FAST on Dirt Series A-main.

Repeating the word of the day from two days ago……FRUSTRATING.
The weather forecast is NOT favorable. It is inevitable that it is going to rain, but how much and when, we don’t know. The prospect of damaging winds and hail also persist. With that being said, we are going to have to cancel tonight’s racing program. A bitter pill to swallow after nearly 60 staff hours of prep and the anticipation of race fans and teams. We are looking for more races this year, but right now our next event is Ohio Sprint Speedway – June 9.

BOSS Announces Sanctions after Waynesfield Event

The 2023 season for the MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series has crossed over the mid-season point. It coincides with the hottest days in recorded history of our planet. Combining those factors with a full moon Monday over Waynesfield Raceway Park, the fourteenth annual Jack Hewitt Classic had a few interesting moments. After 36 hours to allow for review of the night’s events, the BOSS tour has carefully examined videos of several incidents.
