World of Outlaws
A strong sendoff to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season is always valuable. It’s a long road that takes the country’s best Sprint Car teams to several states from coast-to-coast and dozens of racetracks for roughly 80 nights of action per year.
Wednesday ignited on-track action as the World of Outlaws World Finals got underway at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Two sessions of Honest Abe Roofing Qualifying set the stage for World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series Heat Races on Thursday-Friday, Nov. 6-7.
The time has come. #AllDirtRoads have led to Charlotte. After more than 60 races in 19 different states from coast to coast, along with a trip north of the border to Canada, the 2025 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season is ready to wrap up in the “Queen City.”
Gratitude flows from Michael “Buddy” Kofoid anytime he talks about the current position where his career has led him. Not long ago, he wasn’t having much fun behind the wheel. Passion for the sport he’d loved since childhood dripped away as a lack of joy diluted his journey in Sprint Car racing.
