World of Outlaws
Carson Macedo had never seen New Egypt Speedway until Friday night. Could one of the sport’s most uniquely shaped dirt tracks puzzle and slow one of the best Sprint Car drivers in the country? Nope.
Another weekend in the northeast awaits the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. The dust has settled on Pennsylvania’s premier event, Williams Grove Speedway’s J&S Classics National Open, but the country’s top Sprint Car drivers don’t have to travel far this week.
Sheldon Haudenschild is finally a J&S Classics National Open champion. No more close calls. No more settling for second. No more “we’ll get them next year.” Haudenschild got the job done in 2025 at the Williams Grove Speedway crown jewel.
Sheldon Haudenschild’s commitment to where he came from can’t be questioned. He’s a native of Wooster, OH, and has lived there his entire life. The ovals of Ohio are where he honed the skills that led him to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series tour. His legions of fans haven’t forgotten him, and he hasn’t forgotten them.
The western swing is over, and it’s time for a long haul east for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. The nation’s top Sprint Car teams are trucking across the country along a 2,356-mile journey to Ohio. The final “Buckeye State” battles of the season are next on the agenda for The Greatest Show on Dirt.
