Carson Macedo Bests 43-Car Knoxville Field

A beautiful night at Knoxville Raceway saw a great crowd and great racing. Lemoore, California’s Carson Macedo emerged victorious amongst a stout field of 43 410 sprint cars. The win was Macedo’s third, was worth $5,000 and came aboard the Jason Johnson Racing #41. Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s Clint Garner passed Terry McCarl late in traffic to take his 44th career 360 win. Mike Mayberry claimed his third career Pace Performance Pro Sprints win, while Scotty Johnson claimed his first ever win at Knoxville in the Pros make-up feature (from April 23).

Brian Brown won for the 57th time in 410 action at Knoxville Raceway Saturday night matching Steve Kinser’s illustrious win total at the famed half-mile. The Grain Valley, Missouri driver pocketed $5,000 for his win aboard the Brian Brown Racing #21. Terry McCarl, who will run in the 360 class this season, started off things in spectacular fashion with victory, and Tyler Groenendyk picked up his fifth career win with the Pro Sprints presented by Pace Performance on a cold, windy night at the “Sprint Car Capital of the World.”

Knoxville Raceway Increases Purse for Knoxville Championship Series

As the “Sprint Car Capital of the World” prepares for its 69th season of racing, Knoxville Raceway officials and the Marion County Fair Association have announced an increased purse structure for all Knoxville Championship Series events. The highest-paying, weekly track championship series will increase its purse by more than $100,000 in 2022.

Knoxville Raceway drivers, owners, officials and fans gathered Saturday night at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa. Over 600 guests witnessed over $250,000 in cash and contingencies handed out in an event emceed by track announcers Tony Bokhoven and Kris Krug.

Brian Brown Wins Feature, Davey Heskin Wins Championship at Knoxville

In a wild, crazy night at Knoxville Raceway, two championships came down to the last lap in a night full of drama and excitement on Iowa Corn Growers Districts 5 & 9 Season Championship Night. Brian Brown did what he had to do in winning the 410 feature, but in the end, he fell just 15 points short of a championship, as all eyes were on Minnesota’s Davey Heskin, who ended up having to climb from row seven to finish in the top five.
